Carrie. A talented actress, [Sissy] Spacek is able to bring Carrie to life, emotions, telekinesis and all.

Hustle & Flow. [M]aybe children and young teens can be inspired to follow their dreams by this film, but there are more appropriate options. [I]t’s still about a pimp having a midlife crisis.

The Family Stone. It would probably not be a good date movie because of the tension at the beginning for the unwelcome girlfriend, which could, in turn, lead to your own relationship problems.

King Kong. [Andy] Serkis does a great job, making every movement feel as if it were truly coming from a giant gorilla. I refuse to believe that human beings can outrun giant dinosaurs or that Adrien Brody can defeat a raptor in hand-to-hand combat.

The Perfect Score. I recommend this movie to anyone who goes to school, or has ever been to school.

Rocky. Stallone’s accent is difficult to understand (as are other characters’). I would not say that “Rocky” deserves to be called a classic, but… even though most people won’t admit it, you do cheer for Rocky.

Must Love Dogs. While the title indicates otherwise, it is not actually necessary to like dogs to enjoy this movie. It is, however, important to have a sense of humor about divorce.

Never Been Kissed. [Drew Barrymore’s] outfits really contribute to the movie.

Rent. One of those inspiring films where you will leave singing “525,600 Minutes” all the way home. Anything that can be experienced in life is found in this movie.

Meet the Fockers. This is the best movie ever! Everything seems to go wrong and nothing gets better! Isn’t that the truth of some weddings? I was laughing the whole three hours.

You Got Served. [F]eatures more talent in a movie than I’ve seen in a long time.
