One user of the “Wesleyan Anonymous Confession Board,” an Internet site where anyone’s thoughts can be posted anonymously, is clearly Doug Bennet.

“It’s been getting kind of uncomfortable with him posting…I mean it’s pretty obvious,” says Alan Stetson ’07. One recent message read: “I am so stressed out! All these fundraising events are kiling me – sometimes, I wish I wasn’t President :(.”

Though that may have been posted by anyone with the title of President, other posts leave little room for doubt: “I am totes friend-crushing on [Dean of the Senior Class] David Phillips. I haven’t felt that way since I met the guy from Car Talk when I was CEO of National Public Radio.”
