Men’s soccer hosted a highly touted squad from Wheaton College (11-1-1) for a big mid-season test on Wednesday afternoon. Despite several good opportunities, including a dangerous first-half chance by Hooter Glidden ’07 (above), the Cardinals were once again unable to get on the scoreboard and dropped the match 1-0. Wheaton, ranked seventh in the latest Division III national poll released on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s website, managed to get on the board courtesy of a 25-yard blast in the sixty-eighth minute. The men, whose record dropped to 3-4 (2-2 NESCAC) after the loss, prepare for a NESCAC showdown at Colby on Saturday.
