The Whiteness at Wes forum, organized by Confronting Racism and White Privilege Project (CRAWP), brought together nearly 30 students of varying racial backgrounds to talk about what whiteness means at the University. The meeting began with a vow of confidentiality due to the sensitive topic, so names were not used.

While their peers were focusing weekend parties, Jordan Goldman ’04 and Colleen Buyers ’04 were writing a book. When they were just eighteen years old, the two friends decided to pen their own college guidebook, Students’ Guide to Colleges. Their hard work and intuition paid off: This summer, the book was released and has yielded impressive sales.

When the Office of Residential Life (ResLife) decided in 2003 that senior homes on Home and Lawn Avenue would be quiet houses, local residents breathed a sigh of relief. Some students predicted a hit to their social lives, but this concern seems to have died down.
