The great Mark Hoppus once sang that “some good things must end.” Alas, after two years of itching to open this column with a Blink-182 quote, I have succeeded.
Have you slipped on the ice? Skidded out on Wyllys? Been blinded by the wintry white reflection of the snow during a recent walk of shame? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Many of us are struggling to deal with Wesleyan in full winter mode.
Variety is the spice of life. Coincidentally, it’s also the spice of the Wesleyan Film Series. I’m not sure if that quite makes sense, but let’s roll with it.

My, how time does fly. It seems like only days ago that we were packed into the Goldsmith for ALADDIN, singing our best renditions of “Prince Ali.”
Ah, early second semester, a time to start anew – to set new goals, tackle a new batch of classes, to once again be let down by the men’s hockey team, to find a valentine before it’s too late, and to sport all your favorite wintry swag before it gets too warm outside.
Maybe it’s the dropping temperatures, or perhaps it’s all the Christmas music on the radio, or possibly the funny, fanciful feeling of finals approaching, but there’s something in the air here at Wesleyan.
Fall is in full-force at Wesleyan, and I absolutely love it.

Yep, it’s that time of the year again. Sweaters, swine flu, and seemingly ceaseless schoolwork have swamped us.
Before I begin, I know what you’re all thinking – why should I even read on?
Alas, the time has come for us to bid farewell to Wesleyan for the summer – a time to pine for gender-neutral pronouns, Usdan sushi, and, of course, the Wesleyan Film Series.
I personally like to think of the Goldsmith Family Cinema as an indoor Foss Hill, but with comfortable padded seats and a tremendously righteous surround sound system.
Spring is a mighty special time here at Wesleyan. Along with finer weather, Foss-frolicking, and final papers, we also usher in a new Film Board.
