c/o Wesleyan University

In May of 1987, William Henry Cosby, Jr. was presented with an honorary doctorate of letters by Olin Professor of English and American Studies Richard Slotkin at Wesleyan’s 155th Commencement. Cosby addressed a crowd of over seven thousand, including his daughter, Erika Cosby ’87, now Erika Ranee, who was a member of the graduating class (though the commencement booklet lists her as a student to receive a Bachelor of Arts “upon completion”). Ranee declined to comment for this article.

In November of 2014, 10 years after a lawsuit against Cosby for sexual assault was settled out of court, news outlets once again brought attention to the numerous allegations of Cosby’s sexual misconduct, due in large part to his victims stepping up to name themselves and name the crime. As of now, at least 34 women have publicly accused Cosby—now 77 years old—of drugging and/or sexually assaulting them. A few have joined a lawsuit against him, and The Los Angeles Police Department has opened up an investigation into one of the claims.
Even as Cosby continues to deny the accusations, despite their ubiquity and repeated interruptions from “hecklers” at his comedy shows, the attention has already made an impact—including leading several institutions to cut ties with him. Numerous performance venues have canceled their legs of Cosby’s comedy tour, and in November 2014, Cosby agreed to resign as honorary co-chair of UMass Amherst’s capital campaign and his name was suspended from the honorary board of High Point University in North Carolina.

“We respect Dr. Cosby’s professional achievements, appreciate his support of education, and are grateful for his involvement at HPU,” Director of Media Relations Pam Haynes wrote in an email to The Argus. “We are temporarily and respectfully suspending his name on the advisory board until all information is available.”

In December 2014, Cosby resigned from the board of his alma mater, Temple University; in the same month, the U.S. Navy revoked Cosby’s honorary title of Chief Petty Officer and Spelman College—to which Cosby had donated $20 million—dropped its William and Camille Olivia Hanks Cosby Endowed Professorship position.

To many students, then, it comes as a surprise that Cosby has yet to be stripped of any of his over 17 honorary degrees, despite the seriousness of these allegations. In addition to his Wesleyan degree, Cosby currently holds honorary degrees from schools including Yale University, Swarthmore College, University of Pennsylvania, Colgate University, and Boston University, the last of which was presented to Cosby in May 2014.

Many schools, including Wesleyan, have not rescinded Cosby’s degree because they hold general policies against the revocation of honorary degrees.

“We don’t rescind the degrees,” said President Michael Roth in an interview with The Argus. “We don’t go backwards.”

Roth expressed his ambivalence about upholding the policy, but says the administration does not intend to change it. Instead, Roth plans to monitor honorary degree candidates more carefully.

“I don’t think we need to change the policy,” Roth said. “If we had a high achieving entertainment figure who had the reputation for what these accusations are about, we would definitely not give an honorary degree to them. We don’t think that everyone we’ve given an honorary degree to is a perfect person. On the other hand, we also don’t expect to honor someone who has been accused of serious crimes. So I don’t think we need to change the policy. We need to be prudent about who we give these awards to.”

The University’s decision to maintain its policy against the revocation of honorary degrees has been echoed by other universities from which Cosby holds them. Fordham University, for example, has not rescinded the honorary doctorate of humane letters that it awarded Cosby in 2001.

“To the best of my knowledge, Fordham has never rescinded an honorary degree,” wrote Senior Director of Communications Robert Howe in an email to The Argus.

Though Cosby’s honorary degree has not received much attention at Fordham, another honorary degree has been a source of contention there. John Brennan, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency and former Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, continues to hold his honorary degree, which he was awarded in 2012 when he was the commencement speaker. To some at Fordham, Brennan’s award sent the wrong message.

“Fordham University is implicitly endorsing the ‘War on Terror,’ the use of rendition, the CIA’s heinous drone campaign, and the subversion of the rule of law in America, including the assassination of its own citizens,” read a Change.org petition started by two then-students after the announcement of Brennan’s selection.

The initial petition failed, but in 2014 a group of Fordham faculty members assembled to revisit the controversy, moved to action by a new report on torture by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. The group Fordham Faculty Against Torture (FFAT) drafted a petition urging the University to revoke Brennan’s honorary degree. Glenn Hendler, Associate Professor of English and Chair of the English Department at Fordham, played a pivotal role in founding FFAT and believes that Brennan’s views are in direct discord with the values of Fordham.

“[It’s] the idea that a Catholic university would honor someone who is pro-torture,” Hendler said. “There’s been lots of student discussion of it and a lot of faculty events. Very few people are pro-torture, shall we say.”

Hendler expressed interest in urging the Fordham administration to revoke Cosby’s honorary degree if FFAT were to succeed in the revocation of Brennan’s degree.

In March, however, the Fordham United Student Government (USG) voted against supporting FFAT, expressing concern that it would set a precedent for the revocation of honorary degrees.

“Certain members felt that the revocation of John Brennan’s Honorary Degree would set a murky precedent,” said Nevin Kulangara, executive president of the USG and a member of the Fordham class of 2015. “Some raised the concern that revoking a degree from one individual would require the University to apply the same level of scrutiny to other recipients of an Honorary Doctorate.”

While the revocation of Cosby’s honorary degree from Wesleyan may very well set expectations for the University’s scrutiny in selecting honorary degree candidates, the University’s decision raises the question of whether that would have negative consequences. The case of the University upholding Cosby’s degree is particularly relevant in light of the current Title IX allegations on campus. According to Tess Altman ’17, an active member of the Wesleyan Feminist Art and Thought Collective, Roth’s decision not to revoke Cosby’s degree mirrors his attitude toward issues of sexual assault on campus.

“I think the Wesleyan administration only takes action to cover their own ass, because no one’s gone after them,” Altman said. “It just speaks to the way they deal with things. Moral questions are never a norm or something that are constantly looked at. It feels like a lot of times the moral questions are only broached when shit happens, and then you have to. I don’t think I think that about the entire Wesleyan administration. I do think that’s kind of the way Roth operates, and I think it speaks to Roth’s liberal, hands-off thing. He’s just not going to do anything until he has to do something.”

“We don’t rescind the degrees,” said [Wesleyan] President Michael Roth in an interview with The Argus. “We don’t go backwards.”

How absurd. How absolutely morally bankrupt.

    • HornOrSilk

No, what is morally bankrupt are people like you, who use rumor and gossip to attack people. You think you should feel free to destroy people on mere accusation. That’s bankrupt.

      • chinston wirchill

        1. If someone said that they heard that 39 women were drugged and raped, it would be rumor and gossip. 39 non-anonymous accusations would be defined as testimony. The receipts provided by the nbc employee would be circumstantial evidence. Even the accusation that Dr. Cosby’s earned doctorate was written by picture pages writers is enough to be considered a rumor, since someone involved made the claim.
        2. The entire practice of honorary degrees is morally bankrupt.

      • Anja

Horn or Silk is a Cosby troll and has no interest in logic or reasoning or the difference between rumor, accusation and testimony. His comrade, Juggling for a Cure, will certainly soon appear with the same lack of reasoning skills. They’re noth morslly bankrupt.

      • carver green

When your entire comment consists of nothing but attacks on other commenters, it’s YOU who are trolling.

      • dmiller7481

What’s this Carver? Doing a little trolling yourself.
        carver green janenlee•2 hours ago

All Bonnie does is attack. There’s no mind there at all. I’ve had brighter conversations with dogs.

      • carver green

That’s called Responding to Attack, dmiller. When a commenter gives me nothing but insults to work with, I call them on it. And, for the record, I was truthful.

Why are you still so fixated on me, dmiller? It’s long past being weird. Aren’t there some meds you can take?

      • dmiller7481

I find your style irritating. You try to bully people into responding and then make fun of them. If they get caught up in your style you start yelling troll. You also don’t respond to anyone refutting your statements because the media is biased and the women tell stories yet quote Janice Dickinson and use the media to parade her inapropriate behaviour around like she is representative of all the accusers. You are an aggressive Cosby defender and being a believer of the women I see you wherever I go. I am not fixated on you but I will call you out when you are wrong even if it means you are going to cut and run.

      • carver green

dmiller, if you’ve felt “bullied” into responding to me, it’s because your head is up your donkey. For four months now, I’ve been asking you to
keep your word, and keep your word again, and keep it again, and be DONE pestering me. It’s kind of annoying that you think I’m a Cosby-defender. If you’d pay attention to what I actually write, you’d know that my problem is with the MEDIA, not Cosby or his accusers, though of course they are factors. I’m actually pretty creeped out by middle-aged wealthy married men who fool around with young women. Feel better? Of course not. You say you aren’t fixated on me, and also say you “see me wherever you go”. Next time you’re out and about and catch sight of me, follow THAT guy around, okay? Thanks very much.

      • dmiller7481

You can stop lying anytime Glen. You activated your Disqus account on February 20 2015. Anyone can go to your profile page and see that you are lying and that is a fact. You have not been asking me to leave you alone for four months. You have refused to back up your statements for 2.

      • carver green

You mean it’s been 2 months, not 4? Deeply sorry, dmiller. It felt like 4. Will you be okay now?

      • dmiller7481

You know how you like facts. Just trying to keep it real.

      • iamyelhsa

you are a cosby defender. you victim shame, victim blame, call people who disagree with you or support the survivors vile and offensive names, project your own bullying behavior onto those who know Cosby is guilty. Your energy has spiked and you are especially hate filled. what motivates you to defend him?

      • carver green

Any troll who’s paid attention to my posts knows I am not a Cosby-defender, Ashley. But trolls don’t pay attention, do they, they just troll.

      • siscely beans

Dmiller7481, is just crying for attention. This troll will hound you until you respond. It’s usually with an insult as he doesn’t have anything to offer.

      • janenlee

which one are you? There are no Cosby trolls, only your hate groups’ trolls. You’re bullies and stalkers and liars. Pretend to be compassionate.

      • Razerzpeed

I happen to disagree, horn or silk and juggling are extremely logical. in fact. most people don’t understand law or logic on the level that they do. Most just act on their emotions as you are by calling them trolls when in fact they are just men who believe in the rule of law.

      • chinston wirchill

Typo ” more than a rumor”

        3. The article does not specifically attack Mr. Cosby. Recounting commonly known allegations in the context of evaluating whether or not it is appropriate to revoke honorary awards.

You do realize that the number of generally unrelated non-anonymous accusers is sufficient to staff two football teams and play a game against one another? If the remainder of the still anonymous accusers from the 2005 case came forward, it would be a sufficient number to have separate offense and defense for both teams as well as coaching staff.

      • Bonnie Upton

        YES

      • carver green

The article does not “specifically attack” Cosby? Sorry – but the headline “Degrees of Guilt” shows unmistakable bias.

      • Coleen Bean

Women have come forward and explained that the receipts were totally above board and that Dr Cosby was helping them out as a friend. Those receipts only prove that some one took money..nothing more and nothing less

      • dmiller7481

And you believe the women with nothing more than a statement.
        Interesting.

      • Bonnie Upton

Ahhh, the cosby camp is busy, eh? Sorry, bub, but 43 women – and counting – doesn’t sound like “mere accusation” to me. Please, when you report back, tell him his same old tricks aren’t going to work this time. You know – threatening a lawsuit, harassing calls. It’s time he went home and spent time with his family to make up for all those nights at the Playboy mansion. Karma’s a bitch, ain’t it?

      • HornOrSilk

Yes, it is mere accusation. Number of people claiming things doesn’t make it any more real. Thousands claim things about aliens. Seriously, you are bankrupt.

      • Anja

You’re a complete prostitute for Cosby and a moron. Aliens, reslly, that’s sll you have,? The Cosby camp is desperate. You sound just like your buddy or alias JFAC. I guess BC is having trouble recruiting quality supporters with a sense of morality.

      • chinston wirchill

Many reasonable people think that aliens possibly exist, but most would agree that current evidence does not support their existence. The assertion that Bill Cosby exists is accepted by most reasonable people. The fact that he was a serial philanderer has also been established according to legal criteria. He denied this prior to sufficient evidence, including testimony being presented becoming accepted as a matter of record. The number of people making a similar claim is evidence. Jerry Sandusky learned this, as did those involved in the scandal involving several priests. To continue the football comparison, moving the goalposts around does not change the game. 10 yard penalty.

      • carver green

No one’s arguing whether Cosby exists or not.

      • chinston wurchill

You are correct. They are instead arguing, in a disingenuous way, that numerous independent allegations of a crime occurring under circumstances in which Mr.Cosby verifiably had access to the accusers is somehow comparable to believing in little green men. I stand corrected.

      • carver green

You need further correction: Having “access to the accusers” is not the same as “raping the accusers”. You make quite a leap there.

      • chinston wurchill

More like a reasonable step. If the accusers had a biography in which they would not have been able to meet Mr. Cosby, then it would be a leap from one to another. A leap would be to equate over 40 independent rape accusations with the likelihood of the existence of aliens. Maybe Bill Cosby has a good alibi for all or most of these incidents? Legally, Mr. Cosby is generally protected by various statutes of limitation, but let’s face it. The guy is a rapist, unless one man’s claim, (even if he has been caught lying repeateadly about his sex life until physical evidence made it impossible to deny), carries more weight than that of over 40 women.

      • carver green

It is not a Reasonable Step to go from hearing an Accusation to Assuming that the Accusation is True.

Furthermore, I’ve heard alien-abduction stories that have more credibility than the case against Cosby.

And, yes, one man’s claim of Innocence carries all the weight in the world unless there’s Evidence to prove that he is Guilty.

      • chinston wurchill

That would be cases against cosby. You know, the 40 plus independent allegations.

      • carver green

Actually you need to factor in the number of victims statistics tell us will never come forward with the number who have: That means he allegedly raped well over 100 women. So many “victims” – and somehow zero evidence. Just a trashy story for people who thrive on that stuff.

      • dmiller7481

If you are going to loosely throw around statistics than you might consider the false rape accusation statistics that say that the vast majority of these women are telling the truth.
If you want to talk about thriving on “trashy stories” you might want to consider that you have made 434 posts since 2-15-2015 all on Cosby discussion sites and have picked up an additional Moniker[Glen Miller] that has made additional comments. Does the “pot calling the kettle black” apply here?

      • carver green

For every post I make, I get five or six redundant replies from you. I can’t count the number of times you’ve said you’re “done” with me, then come back and started over again with the same old boring crap. Please get over your fixation on me. Thanks.

(Btw, I’ve never posted as Glen Miller.)

      • dmiller7481

Sorry, I got confused with the facebook name you were using on another site when you were posting as Glen Miller. You are exagerrating with the five or six redundant replies. You’re really good at copying and pasting. Maybe you could give a couple of examples of me saying I’m done with you. Should be easy if there are to many to count. Or you could just cut and run as usual.

      • carver green

        Apology accepted.

I posted twice under my actual name because I got sick of being called “boy” by your racist friends. I do not happen to be black.

At Disqus I’m already Carver Green (a fictional place, not a person) and see no way to change it.

Anyone can check my profile and see that your “copy and paste” attack on me is bogus. I don’t do that.

Also, “cut and run” is a brainless phrase you’ve borrowed from Ms. Betts. Please note that I reply to everyone, however idiotic they are. This response to you is further proof of that.

        It’s actually Ms. Betts
who has cut and pasted comments of mine onto other boards, where she fakes conversations with me. And she’s done the same and worse with others. That’s your role model, dmiller, and those are your standards.

      • dmiller7481

My friends and family aren’t racist. Actually I have seen many posts by Brand Betts and everything I have seen has been an attempt to keep these discussion sites honest. She’s probably busy getting ready to attend Cosby’s last performance.
Cut and run is a result of you having nothing to say other than “refer to my previous posts”.
This is a new day with different paople and when you make statements that are questioned you should be prepared to back them up otherwise it is a “cut and run”.

      • carver green

With you it’s always the same day, the same conversation, the same ground covered over and over again. You are the only individual to whom I say “refer to my previous posts”, and it took me months to come to that. You have a fixation on me. Get over it, please.

      • dmiller7481

I asked you a legitimate question concerning one of your posts and this is what I get.
        Another cut and run.

      • siscely beans

She does that to me as well. It’s because they don’t have anything else to do.

      • chinston wurchill

In a court of law, testimony is evidence, but you know that, don’t you, despite using capitalization conventions from the 18th century in order to make a weak argument appear legitimate?

      • carver green

Testimony is Evidence that someone told a Story. Nothing more.

(Btw, how does capitalizing letters make an argument legitimate or not? You have some very strange ideas.)

      • dmiller7481

Victim testimony under oath is direct evidence and considered true if not refutted under cross examinatiion.

      • carver green

We’ve been over this before, dmiller. Refer to our earlier conversations. Thanks.

      • dmiller7481

I only comment when you aren’t telling the truth or change it to fit your agenda. Many sexual assault cases result in convictions based on victim testimony and victim testimony is considered the most important evidence available in some cases. Physical evidence just shows that something happened and isn’t always available. Back up your statement that victim testimony isn’t evidence Carver or Glen or whatever it is today.

      • nakedwarrior

        Excellent!

      • carver green

Blah blah blah . . . Refer to our earlier conversations. Thanks again.

      • dmiller7481

I think everyone would like to see you back up your claim that victim testimony is not evidence

      • carver green

Review our earlier conversations, find the link I’ve already given, and share it with “everyone”. Also stop misquoting me. Thanks.

      • dmiller7481

        Isn’t this you Carver

carver green chinston wurchill•a day ago

Testimony is Evidence that someone told a Story. Nothing more.

        Another cut and run.

      • carver green

No cutting, no running. I replied to every post I got from chinstonetc., just as I’m replying to this latest bs from you. Showing you far more courtesy than you deserve.

      • carver green

It’s only “direct evidence” if it offers proof without inference or presumption. None of the accusations make that grade, sorry.

      • HornOrSilk

He really doesn’t get it. Even if there is no cross examination, the jury still gets to decide if they believe the claim or not. Someone says something utterly stupid that no one does a cross-examination means the jury has to believe it? Of course not! “I saw Bigfoot with Elvis eating fries cooked by Abraham Lincoln.” Now that has to be believed if it is not proven false by cross-examination? See, this is where they go back to “guilt by accusation” and ” you have to prove innocence.” No, the people making claims have to prove their case to convince the jury. The jury is not told they have to believe anything like that.

But of course, cross-examination helps put the witness into perspective and is helpful when they seem to be convincing. And it’s the kind of thing the accusers are afraid of. Maybe they can remove it from trials because it is calling victims liars (following the logic around here)…

      • dmiller7481

if you are implying that the victim’s statements are stupid then you are implying that most of America is also stupid because the majority has made the decision that the allegations are very serious and pulled the plug on Cosby. I am all for cross examination. I am all for the allegations being presented in a courtroom for all to hear and cross examine. I see no signs of fear in the victims who are fighting tooth and nail to be heard. The only fear I see is Cosby and his attorney’s fear that any of this would spill into a courtroom and the opportunity for guilt to be determined The jury makes up it’s own mind when listening to the testimony and the defense has the opportunity to challenge it
I do get it. What you don’t seem to understand is when accusations are made it is the responsibility of certain professionals to investigate the statements to see if they are the beginning of a lengthy process to discover the truth. Something that Cosby is avoiding at all costs.

      • DavidL

Remember, the vast majority thought Cosby was a wonderful guy when he was awarded the degree. Was the mass opinion wrong then or is it wrong now? Even if it turns out, when all the evidence is in, that Cosby was a serial rapist and abuser, I suggest letting the degree stand because it’s a good reminder of how wrong we can be.

      • carver green

You’re right, he isn’t capable of getting it. I used to think he was a troll, but it’s actually worse than that. He does his best with the mind he has.

      • dmiller7481

Your opinion. We’ll see if they make it into a court room.

      • carver green

Not an opinion. Do some research and share it with somebody else.

      • DavidL

Totally incorrect. The trier of fact may weigh the credibility of the witness and the testimony even in the absence of contrary evidence. This is true under the law, and in every day life.

      • dmiller7481

I stand corrected. I worded that wrong and you are right. The court assumes everyone is truthful to their oath of honesty. The jury must determine for themselves the reliability of the witness.

      • janenlee

        who?

      • Bonnie Upton

Well, it seems the 3+ month investigation in L.A. must be uncovering some evidence, eh? I bet there is plenty of evidence. We have one guy who rescued his drugged friend from Cosby’s townhouse. We have a NYC police report filed by a young girl, with her father’s support when Cosby touched her inappropriately. Oh, and there is that pesky 2005 lawsuit that he settled as soon as he learned there were so many independent Jane Does coming forward to support Constand – not for money either, by the way. These women are coming out to support each other. He was an idiot to try to go on tour out of his narcissistic need for control and adulation. Ya remember that MEME fiasco? That was spontaneous and not organized. The US Navy knows, NBC knows, Temple University knows, Spelman College knows, Netflix knows. What do they know? Almost everyone who has every spent time with this man has an awful story about him. He’s a sicko with a lot of money. And a tragically tarnished legacy for his daughters. How sad. Really.

      • carver green

What evidence has the 3+ month investigation uncovered, Bonnie? You BET there’s evidence? Really not good enough, sorry. Be specific, I’m listening.

      • Coleen Bean

you need to improve your reading base. many who really know Bill have come to his defence, but you choose to ignore what you dont want to see…still its there wether you like it or not

There is nothing to go on, there never has been. Washed up playboy bunnies and has been actresses. And one pathetic road wife. Get over it Bonnie, you and the Peanut Gallery failed.

      • dmiller7481

Accusations, by definition, are unproven. Accusations do not have to be proven before being investigated. Accusations, when addressed properly are often a first step in a long process that might lead to exposure, denunciation, arrest, conviction and jail time. It is a legal obligation for certain professionals, to investigate accusations.

      • carver green

Refer to our earlier conversations, dmiller. Thanks.

      • carver green

Why do you call “knowing” someone “having access” to them? Why play with words?

A man’s knowing/having access to a woman does not make him a rapist.

Get those little green men out of your head – they’re making you sound like a loon.

      • Anja

oh, yeah, Here’s the third Cosby troll…the infamous Carver Green…now the holy trinity of Horn of Silk, JFAC and Carver Green, Kings of poor logic and copy past are back together again trying to make it look like Cosby has more than a few supporters. Pathetic.

      • carver green

Anja, do you have anything to say regarding Cosby or the article in question? If not, you are the Troll. The rest of us are actually saying things.

Btw, in whose quarters did Janice Dickinson meet with Cosby to discuss business? Did she bring her pajamas to his quarters, or did he bring his Patchwork Raping Bathrobe to hers?

      • janenlee

she did pretty well blow that story, who carries their jammies to go have dinner date?

      • carver green

According to her own words, they met in one
place and she woke up in another, naked and wet with semen – which suggests that it was Cosby, and not
someone acting for him, who moved the body, undressed her, etc.

Amazing all these unconscious young women being hauled around by a famous celebrity and no one thinking anything of it.

Also, according to Janice’s own words, BEFORE the alleged rape, when she was told that Cosby had phoned asking for her, her response was, “That PIG! How did he find out where I am?”

So she was calling him a PIG before the alleged rape. A responsible media would pick up on that and look into her history with him, rather than feeding an ignorant mob.

      • Bonnie Upton

I was a consultant with Coopers & Lybrand in Chicago and traveled extensively for work. And yes, adults can have meetings in hotel rooms without anything happening. It really can. If women are so wicked, then men shouldn’t invite them to their room and risk being called a rapist, dontcha think?

      • carver green

Please point to an instance in which I’ve suggested that women are wicked.

Also, please answer my question, rather than evade it with shoddy, incoherent derision:

In whose quarters did Janice Dickinson meet with Cosby to discuss
business? Did she bring her pajamas to his quarters, or did he bring
his Patchwork Raping Bathrobe to hers?

What could possibly keep you from answering that?

      • Jvickers

But you could still say something happened no?

      • nakedwarrior

You find it a struggle to think, its something you had to learn? Most of us it come natural. Clearly all of your posts have no thought. Better get back to school!

      • carver green

Please keep away from schools, naked. And stop upvoting your own comments, that’s just sad.

      • nakedwarrior

You have this very strange fetish for children and animals, and on top of that you openly support a rapist that his m.o. is to drug women! You are a creepy little man! Do not respond, every time you do I have to have another shower!

      • carver green

Next time put some clothes on when you get out.

      • iamyelhsa

        Nope, he is guilty.

      • Anonymous

I can say he drugged and raped me too!

      • janenlee

What in the heck are you talking about? Your accusations and threats to supporters of Cosby? You’re stalking of his supporters, you’re harassing supporters and posting info and threatening to call their associates? Is that what you’re talking about Bon, because your post sounds like it.

      • Bonnie Upton

        lmao ROFLMAO

      • No no no janenlee….you forgot that you accused *me* for “stalking, harassing, posting info, and threatening to call associates”! lol! You’re changing it now to Bonnie? Or are you saying it’s both of us doing it? Or are we the same person? Aw, I thought it was just me. I WANT THE CREDIT for having so much time on my hands to waste my time following, stalking and calling employers of the likes of you and your buddies! No fair. :( *pout*

      • carver green

Haven’t heard from your attorney yet, Ms. Betts. What’s the hold-up? Don’t tell me you met him online. I’d suggest a background check if you did.

Btw, aren’t you campaigning on behalf of an accuser? If she gets money out of Cosby (however far that is from her intent), are you expecting a cut, after putting in so many diligent hours online? I’d get that agreement in writing if I were you. Common sense should tell you not to trust that woman.

      • siscely beans

You are such a liar, I saw it first hand! You really need to stop doing this Brandy.

      • carver green

All Bonnie does is attack. There’s no mind there at all. I’ve had brighter conversations with dogs.

      • siscely beans

        Bonnie Upton is the worst!

      • ruben

Your an idiot. Forty Women and you still have your head up your ass

      • And it stinks in there.

      • Jvickers

Nope. He has done so much for the Black Community…interracial relations…no rescinding needed based on unprovable allegations…interestingly coming up two years before a Presidential election (divide and ?) and while feminists are trying to upend the statute of limitations on rape.

      • Oh THIS I gotta hear. So which political party is “conspiring” to “divide the nation” in order to disrupt (?) America’s upcoming Presidential election…which is TWO YEARS away?!

Baaaahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! (I don’t have enough “ha’s” in my lungs for this one! This is, by far, my FAVORITE conspiracy theory EVER!)

Can’t wait to hear your detailed and REASONABLE outline as to how, why, when, and where this conspiracy has and will continue to play out. The desired outcome? How is it going so far (i.e., are they on track and show us how), etc. *getting my popcorn*

    • janenlee

like you are moral, spend your time stalking people and threatening, calling vile names and causing mayhem. All in the name of victims? I don’t think so Bon, you are a victimizer and a fake. You don’t have any compassion that a person must have to care. And I’ve witnessed it.

      • Bonnie Upton

LOL I just can’t stop LOL

      • Coleen Bean

Ive noticed you cant stop. Your obsessed with being obsessed. Scary really what you wont stop at.

    • Jvickers

Nope. He has done so much for the Black Community…interracial relations…no rescinding needed based on unprovable allegations…curiously coming up two years before a Presidential election (divide and ?) and while feminists are trying to upend the statute of limitations on rape.

      • Such an outrageous claim (and yes, it’s outrageous) deserves more than a passive “Interesting”.

Please flesh out this nefarious “plan” to…??…what?…stop the first potentially black president from being elected? By taking down Bill Cosby? Okay let’s run with that.

So in your mind, Racists were conspiring to stop a black man from getting elected by making Bill Cosby look bad. Since Right Wingers are stereotypically known to be the racist party, it must have been the Conservatives cooking up this devious plan.

But wait! You *also* said Feminists are trying to “upend SOLs”. Since Feminists are stereotypicaly known to be Left Wingers, then it must have been the LIBERALS cooking up this devious plan.

So in 2005, both Wings of the American political system, who were and are in almost every other arena known to be sworn enemies (and bitterly so), beautifully came together in 2005 for one GLORIOUS purpose…..to stop a black president from getting elected two years from then by gathering together 13 women to accuse Bill Cosby of rape, having the story be mildly covered in the press, and then have it completely disappear until 2014.

Okay, yeah I guess I agree. That *is* “Interesting”. ;)

    • Jvickers

Nope. He has done so much for the Black Community…interracial relations…no rescinding needed based on unprovable allegations…curiously coming up two years before a Presidential election (divide and ?) and while feminists are trying to upend the statute of limitations on rape.

BOSTON (CN) – Three women who accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault may amend their defamation lawsuit, a federal judge ruled.
Tamara Green, Linda Traitz and Therese Serignese sued the 77-year-old comedian in December 2014, claiming he falsely accused Green of lying about sexual assault allegations.
One contested statement was published in The Washington Post. Cosby’s attorney, Walter Phillips Jr., stated that Cosby did not know Green and that the alleged incident of Cosby drugging and assaulting her “did not happen.”
The Washington Post published a correction, noting that Phillips made his statement in 2005. Cosby argued that the plaintiffs’ lawsuit is therefore untimely.
Green claimed that Cosby is still liable because he could reasonably expect that Phillips’ statement would be republished.
U.S. District Judge Mark G. Mastroianni ruled on April 16 that the plaintiffs can amend their defamation claim for a second time.
“Plaintiffs here do not move to add an entirely additional claim; instead, they move to amend relevant facts and corresponding arguments within one of their already-existing claims,” he wrote.
The plaintiffs want to see documents about Cosby’s 2006 legal battle over sexual misconduct allegations. That lawsuit was settled, and some of the documents have been sealed.
The plaintiffs are among dozens of women who have told stories of being drugged and sexually assaulted by Cosby, who made his mark in TV, movies and on the stand-up comedy stage.

just read this about the lawsuit amendment approval, guess sometimes facing pasts events is the best vehicle to move us forward to make sure same mistakes are NOT repeated.

Rich innocent people do not settle in court. The ONLY reason i can think of someone settling is, …first they are guilty, second, if the case is fought in court, the evidence then becomes public knowledge. If it is settled, it can be done with the clause all documents are sealed! Clever move, but sealed documents can become unsealed. When that happens, I would love to hear from “Horn” and “Juggling”. Explain that one!

    • HornOrSilk

Actually, rich innocent people settle ALL THE TIME. Ask lawyers. It happens all the time, especially with the rich and corporations. Because it is still easier, cheaper that way than to go through court — even for a win.

People have explained this many times to the trolls promoting guilt by accusation.

      • nakedwarrior

Even with your closed mind on the Cosby subject, do you really think with his money he would allow someone into railroading him into admitting wrondoing, and paying out a bag of money , if he was truely innocent. Listen,……are you listening,…he admitted it, and paid her out in civil court! Thats why the files are sealed. He did not want the transcript to become publi knowledge. He took the stand and did not like being forced to answer questions. What you are trying to say is BC was totally innocent of all charges against him, even though he admitted it, and he paid alot of money, but he was really at home with his family watching tv. Then he paid out because it was easier and cheapest way to go. If that was the case why is he now fighting? Ill tell you, he doesnt want to be forced to tell the truth!
Just to correct you ,..again, no one is promoting guilt, (whatever that means. ) We are not nieve, we are seeking the truth. No lynch mob, just the truth, and an honest response to these serious allegations.
Just how much does BC pay you to promote his innocence. Not sure what the figure is, because between you and Juggling, you keep story active in the forums. With no oposing views, story fizzles out.

      • HornOrSilk

Settling is not admitting wrong-doing. You fail. You are done.

      • nakedwarrior

Really?? You are trying to say with all his resources that he would settle a lawsuit involving drugging and raping, paid out alot of money, and hes really innocent. REALLY? Now that just funny. Was he framed? And yes he did admit wrongdoing. You fail. Stick the fork in you. You’re done!

      • carver green

The only wrongdoing Cosby’s admitted to is adultery, and the only case supported by Fact is that he had relations with a number of young women, and that the relations were consensual. It reflects badly on him, but it doesn’t make him a rapist.

      • chinston wurchill

I must agree. A settlement in and of itself is not an admission of guilt. I do find it strange, however, that so many commentators seem to have a different set of criteria for what makes a person credible. So maybe those with a verified history of lying about their personal lives should be discredited. Once Dickinson, Lasha, and Moritz, and of course Bill Cosby are discredited, that only leaves the other three dozen women, including the wealthy supermodel, the basketball player, the entertainment executive who is fabulously wealthy, as well as all of the others who are coming forward about their near misses with his predatory behavior, whose testimony is left for reasonable people to evaluate.

      • carver green

The media dropped Fact-Checking on the Cosby allegations last December. All we know is that Fact-Checking shows a number of the stories to be Untrue – and that there’s no more Fact-Checking. The media’s playing you.

      • chinston wurchill

Mr.Cosby is a liar. That is established fact. A few of the women are liars. Established fact. So instead of evaluating the rest and accepting the logical conclusion, the way out of the logical dead end for a Cosby apologist is to claim that the other 3 dozen women are also liars, but the media simply failed to notice it.

      • chinston wurchill

And it is a vast media conspiracy. My friend Occam said you have a little stubble that needs tending to.

      • carver green

chinston, listen to chinston – it’s for your own good.

      • carver green

Provide a link that establishes Cosby’s a liar. Thanks.

        http://www.cnn.com/US/9707/15/cosby.extortion/index.html?_s=PM:US
Took me 5 minutes. He spent $100 grand and lied about one affair for 20 years. Of course it is possible he was perjuring himself in his court statement and he had not covered up the affair for 20 years.

      • carver green

Sorry, you’ve failed. Where’s the proof that he lied? He was a victim of extortion and paid to keep his private life private, which is his right.

Meanwhile, his extortionists were arrested and put in jail.

      • janenlee

Don’t know where you get Cosby lying. But the media hasn’t cared that the women are lying and their stories are absurd and filled with discrepancy. Some of the women haven’t even been able to keep straight about what year it was. But no one asked for any verification of their stories. At least not the media. Wonder why.

      • Bonnie Upton

Facts haven’t gotten in your way, that’s for sure!

      • carver green

That’s a troll comment, Bonnie, the sort of behavior we expect from poorly raised children.

Would you like to respond to a point that I’ve made regarding Cosby? Or are you happy being an ignorant, bullying troll?

      • nakedwarrior

Is that what you really think.? WOW! Adultery is not a crime, you may pay a huge price if the wife has had enough, but not a crime that can be prosected! He admitted wrongdoing in CIVIL COURT! He admitted it and payed a huge price! (Money, and now reputaion) Everyone know he was poking everything that moved, and now it looks like alot that wasnt moving! Yes it reflects bad on him, and yes, hes an admitted rapist!

      • carver green

I’m not the one calling Cosby a criminal, am I.

I will do that when the Evidence shows up.

      • HornOrSilk

As you can tell, warrior is a liar, and not much you can do with such. “He’s an admitted rapist.” He keeps lying and acting like if he repeats it enough times, it makes it true.

      • nakedwarrior

You speak from experience! Just the truth, ….im sure you know what that is!

      • Anja

Cosby should pay HOS, JFAC and Carver Green to back off the sites. They make him look really sleazy and stupid.

      • janenlee

seen that show before with that hate group of supporters of ‘victims’

      • nakedwarrior

Criminal? I have never called him a criminal. Not even a good try. Let me know what date and time I posted he was a criminal. He is an admitted rapist, but that is common knowledge!

      • carver green

Hope I catch you in time, nakedetc.: RAPE IS AGAINST THE LAW! RAPING WILL MAKE YOU A CRIMINAL! FACT! TRUST ME!

(Btw, provide the link where Cosby “admitted” he’s a rapist. Otherwise I say you made that up.)

      • nakedwarrior

This is sad, its like arguing with my cat, only he gives a better response. Lets go to law 101. Committing a criminal act does not make you a criminal. Being convicted in a criminal court of law DOESmake you a criminal. It is the process you go through that give you the honors or joining that elite “criminal” club! I never said he was convicted, so before you start using capital letters to show me you are upsat, get your story straight!

      • carver green

So if you rape someone, or sodomize your cat, and don’t get caught – in your mind, you’re not a criminal? That’s kind of scary, nakedetc. Hands off the cat anyway, okay?

      • nakedwarrior

Clearly you do not understand, so I will type slowly for you. Im not sure about your bestiality fixation, but here goes! You can exhibit behaviour that can be considered “criminal behaviour”, but unless you are not only caught, but prosecuted, AND convicted, you are not deemed a criminal. Not in my mind my little Einstein, that is the law, and getting away from your cat, to Bill Cosby, no, he is not a criminal, even though most consider his behaviour criminal, he is not! Behaviour has to be in conjunction with conviction!
OJ, was not a criminal regardless what people thought, he was aquitted. He was convicted in court later, and that conviction earned him the title of criminal
Behavior must accompany criminal conviction! Put your cat down and think of another twisted response!

      • carver green

Sorry, but I’m too weirded out by you to want to talk at any length.

I get it, though: As long as a criminal gets away with his crime(s), in your world he’s not a criminal. Point taken.

Please keep away from kids, as well.

      • nakedwarrior

No, thats the law. You are a strange little man. Please, if you have nothing intelligent to submit, just save your energy. I tried to explain the law to you, you clearly dont get it. By your ramblings, and childlike understanding of the law, in your world Cosby is a criminal. I have wasted more time trying to educate you than its worth. I repeat, even though Cosby has alledged to have exhibited criminal behavior, unless he is convicted he is not a criminal. And yes thats how it is in my world, just not too sure what color the sky is in your world. Time to put your computer away before your mom busts you for talking to grownups online!

      • carver green

I agree, you’re wasting your time. Plus you creep me out. At least we agree that Cosby’s not a criminal. As for you, I’m not so sure. I don’t think you should be talking to children online, to be honest.

NYDaily News Bill Cosby testimony describes second accuser’s spiked storywww.nydailynews.com/…/bill-cosby-testimony-describes-accuse

      • Guest

That doesn’t say “admit to lying.” He tried to have the press tell his story — which is not manipulating the press: trying to stop others from lying about you in the press is a wise thing. People believe lies put in the Enquirer, so of course, if he can stop them from being printed, he would. It’s always funny and sad when he does something to protect himself it is shown he is guilty and if he does nothing it means he is guilty. Sorry, doesn’t work that way.

      • dmiller7481

HornorSilk: What about the story that Cosby reps told Celebrity Justice that Andrea’s mother had asked Cosby for money before Andrea went to the police and Martin Singer called it a “Classic Shakedown”. Trying to make it look like they had tried to extort money from Cosby. Cosby then told the Cheltenham police that it wasn’t true, that they had just asked for an apology, which he gave. Cosby also said in the Enquirer that he wasn’t going to let anyone exploit him because of his celebrity. Anoher statement meant to mislead and imply that they had asked for money. I would call this lying, and trading stories and threatening to sue the Enquirer if it ran the story on Lachelle Covington is manipulating the press. Another dishonest strongarm tactic that Cosby and his attorneys used to hide what he was doing. All of this can be found in “The Former Basketball Player That Brought Down Bill Cosby” by Diana Muskovitz in Deadspin.

      • carver green

Burglar Busted on Camera Having Sex with Mannequin?

Try again. Unless that burglar was Cosby, you posted a bad link.

      • dmiller7481

Just re read Diana Moskovitz’s story The Former Basketball Player Who Brought Down Bill Cosby. ‘It’ all there. The spiked story, the planted stories, Cosby and Singer offering apologies and money, Cosby admitting that Andrea’s mother didn’t ask for money
as he insinuated in his story and the planted stories.

      • carver green

First, I’m not interested in Stories, only in Fact. Second, fix your link. You might also want to apologize for wasting my time, and the time of anyone else who tried to find that bogus link.

      • dmiller7481

First, i’m not interested in your stories and secondly you know that Cosby has lied and admitted it so stop acting like you don’t know it and stop wasting my time. All’s you had to do was look up the spiked story. Sorry if it didn’t copy right. Did you look at the articles that were planted in Diana Moskovitz’s article in deadspin or do you refuse to look at articles that don’t fit your agenda. For some reason you think you can run around these sites uncontested. You asked me once why I kept posting to you when you initially posted to me. I told you I had no interest in talking to you at the time. but responded to your post. I will contest any post that you make that is either a total fabrication or an outright lie.

      • dmiller7481

You might want to consider that out of all the posters here, Brandi Betts if the allegatiions are true, and more than likely they are has more factual information then any commentator on these boards. She personnaly knows and has talked to quite a few of these women and probably knows more factual information than anyone besides Cosby of course. Cosby if the allegations are true knows all of these women and more. If you are truly interested in facts there are only two people that would be able to help you and that is Cosby and Brandi Betts. Since you don’t believe the women, the media doesn’t fact check in your opinion and Cosby isn”t talking you really don’t have any facts do you.

      • carver green

Here’s your courtesy reply. I only read the first few lines, sorry. Literally MONTHS of being hounded by you!

I am not stalking you. I am responding to your posts. If you want me to go away stop posting.
I have never seen you on the street and have never said that. Your inability to give up without having the last word is the only thing driving this nonsense.

      • dmiller7481

Another cut and run. Show me cite. Oh I’m not interested in the proof and confession. You have wasted my time and anyone elses that has ever read one of your posts or responded to you.

      • HornOrSilk

You will find the typical misrepresentation going on. Cosby tried to have accusations against him from being printed. Wow. What manipulation! The same people who say he does nothing and so is guilty says he is guilty because he does something. They have no honor nor honesty.

      • carver green

I can’t believe – honestly – how stupid they are. They don’t even offer challenging arguments.

Not when they are a public figure with a reputation/brand to protect – and a family to consider. Don’t you wonder why he isn’t suing for defamation at this point? He has verifiable losses to show for all of this “libel” and “slander”. He won’t cause he can’t. And we all know why he can’t.

      • HornOrSilk

. You clearly didn’t read the links above

      • iamyelhsa

        He’s guilty.

    • janenlee

that is a very ignorant statement and if you’re an adult, you certainly know that which means to me, you’re just spouting crap for the sake of it. Settlements are made all the time, innocence or guilt rarely have anything to do with it. Innocent people, innocent companies, make settlements.

  • Sometimes the guts to do the right thing should take precedence over precedent. Wesleyan fails the test!

    • HornOrSilk

No, they pass the test. You don’t punish people for rumors.

      • Rumors!! Rumors??? 34 victims is not rumors!

      • HornOrSilk

Accusation is not guilt. People claiming to victims is not proof they are victims. It’s rumors, gossip. Unproven assertions. You don’t punish people for that.

      • Anja

We’ll see…paid shill.. he will be brought to justice, you’ll see. There’s a case that’s about to pop and there’s evidence. You’ll still be ranting and raving idiotically in favor of your puppet master, but it will mean nothing. You should get a real job!

      • Coleen Bean

Really? There is a case with evidence that has been witheld all this time. Why would that be? Surely someone with hard evidence would have been morally responsible to provide this a long time ago?

      • janenlee

        lyne? alaha?

      • HornySilk

You are a darned fool, aren’t you?

      • dmiller7481

Allegations, by definition, are unproven. Accusations do not have to be proven right before being investigated. Allegations, when addressed properly are often a first step in a long process that might lead to exposure, arrest, conviction and jail time. It is a legal obligation for certain professionals to investigate such allegations.

      • HornySilk

        What’s wrong with you?

      • nakedwarrior

Stephen, even if you show a video of Cosby violating these women, he would still deny. He is a Cosby crony!

      • Anja

Horn of Silk could watch of video of multiple rapes by Cosby and still use his lack of education and poor logic to support the MOFO. He’s a; paid shill. Not worth arguing with these three idjits. These three constantly troll every thread about Cosby and say the same things using the same pretzel logic. Is this what Cosby has stooped to…friends like these? He really has lost everything.

      • nakedwarrior

I like the pretzel logic! Well said!

      • carver green

Or is that 34 (I think you missed a few) “alleged victims” capitalizing on a rumor that started in the late 60s, and has yet to be supported by even a smidgen of fact?

      • Really carver, do you really think Bill Cosby is innocent? The man is very fortunate he is not doing ten to twenty hard time.

  • Jvickers

    Good on Wesleyan.

    • HornOrSilk

Notice who it is complaining? The “Feminist” group. I put it in quotes because not all feminists are like this modern man-hating version.

You are obviously very out of touch with this person. there are few things I admire as much as a man who knows how to treat a woman with love, respect, kindness, honesty and strength. A rare treasure to find on here. A lot of disrespect, and misogynist energy in this forum. It is always a pleasure to share with those who say NO to abuse of any kind. You give what you have got to give, but it comes across as the hate you project onto others.

      • I am a Feminist and I adore men. Uh oh. Now what are you going to do with your blanket statements?

      • carver green

Since when does Feminist mean Stupid Playground Bully?

      • dmiller7481

        Troll
One who purposely and deliberately (that purpose usually being self-amusement) starts an argument in a manner which attacks others on a forum without in any way listening to the arguments proposed by his or her peers. He will spark off such an argument via the use of ad hominem attacks (i.e. ‘you’re nothing but a Stupid Playground Bully’ is a popular phrase) with no substance or relevence to back them up as well as straw man arguments, which he uses to simply avoid addressing the essence of the issue

correction noted: rapist hating version. thanks.

  • Jvickers

He has done so much for the Black Community…interracial relations…no rescinding needed based on unprovable allegations…curiously coming up two years before a Presidential election (divide and ?) and while feminists are trying to upend the statute of limitations on rape.

    • Jvickers

The Constand thing came up two years before a Presidential election” interesting.

      • dmiller7481

The same year I threw up a sloppy joe at the fair on the tilt-a-whirl. Coincidence? Makes you wonder.

That *is* “Interesting”. ;)

A shill is only effective until his identity is revealed. As shills are frequently associated to fraud or deception, to continue is without value. I include “Horn” and “Juggling” as Cosby shills. I doubt very much if they are paid, or if they are would be very little, as now with the sheer number of entries, I am sure they are doing far more harm to Cosby than good. I do not include “Carver” as a shill as he just doesnt get it, but seemed like alot of fun jumping on their coat tails.

I’m so glad the university has come to this decision. There is an online hate group with such mercurial names as ‘ProtestCosby’ “CancelBill’ which fronts for a large number of women attacking Bill Cosby with gossip in the press. The hate group pretends to be a rape support group although to my certain knowledge they’ve never lifted a finger or spent a dime on REAL survivors; people lying in hospital beds covered in bruises after a rape. This hate group has no interest in REAL survivors. These greedy old women seek only to abuse the media in order to harass a celebrity, his family, his friends and his business associates. Please don’t involve yourself with this hate group or their selfish interests. There are better ways to protests than permitting this hate group to divert your money & resources away from REAL survivors of rape.

    • Jessie

Oh brother. To your “certain knowledge” some of the victim supporters are in “hate” groups? You’re only a “REAL” rape victim if you’ve been bloodied and bruised and hospitalized? Ignorant comments but to your credit you kinda sorta mentioned donating time and money to support victims, even if you have a very narrow definition of who that covers, helping out at all is good! For example, if you think only real victims are those who are hospitalized, you can support those survivors by finding out if rape kits are free and available in your area. That’s a good cause too. But you also feel the need to attack the 43 women and their friends, family and supporters because they don’t fit in the box of what you define as “real” or genuine. I get that you don’t believe them, but must you be so vicious about it?

      • Craig Hingley

I don’t know any REAL survivors of rape who spend their time and resources harassing car dealerships. Sue me. Support the Women is a hate group. They’ve never lifted a finger for genuine survivors. All they do is steal their resources and attention. Nobody is falling for their SCAM.

      • Jessie

Boy it’s like the majority of women out there are bad according to you! 50 or so vindictive women hell bent on destroying an innocent senior citizen for no reason or gain beyond satisfying a blood lust and desire to be in the news for a day, now a group of women using victim support groups as a cover for hate groups. Yep. And I bet it doesn’t stop there, I bet you could give me whole big list of other women and kinds of women who are inately evil. Sounds like fear a bit, big bad scary women. GRRRR! GOTCHYA! Just pullin your leg, we’re really not as all powerful and scary as you think! Protesting isn’t a bad thing, lots of good can come from the legal right to free speech and right to gather. Sure it’s not gonna be too comfortable for the folks who have to walk by evidence of their shame, but by now every person choosing to go to the show knows the deal. It’s not like they’ll be blocked from going in or anything illegal, they’ll likely only be told they’re supporting a rapist and stuff along those lines. They may have their show interrupted a few times while they’re forced to consider the women (good or bad, doesn’t matter, the point is to ensure they’re not ignored). But that’s it Craig, maybe 30 or 45 minutes of discomfort and then all those in attendance can go back to forgetting the women. Does that really sound like a hate group lol? “Ooooh, those women made me uncomfortable for 20 minutes, oooooh I’m scarred for life by that hate group even though I had a two month heads up that I’d probably have to walk by protesters holding signs”. Why on earth is that so scary? Lol

      • Craig Hingley

50 times a crock of shit are 50 crocks of shit. 51 counting yours.

Hahahaha! Dear Dr. Cosby, Hello Friend!

This is one of the many reasons I’m no longer a Liberal and proud to be a Republican. While Wesleyan is an outstanding university, there’s the real world which will never be all loving and perfect. While Wesleyan encourages debate, constructive criticism and standing up for beliefs, it’s obvious they’re not willing to do what is right because of the controversy they may face, the social class that they may lose or upset and/or the fact that it shows a level of administrative incompetency. Likely the latter…big egos that don’t want to admit they were enamored with Cosby’s celebrity status. It makes me sick to think this great school would allow a perv to maintain this prestigious recognition. Cosby would have never received an honorary degree if I was making the decision. I’ve lived in the real world for a long time and always thought Cosby was a bit strange, even as a child! Nothing but a lot of elaborate liberal excuses to do nothing! Tolerance is one thing but this is pushing tolerance beyond reasonable which is crossing the line of accepting sexual abuse! Sometimes if you take a close look at those unwilling to punish a predator, you’ll find something not adding up in their life! Do what is right and take away the degree, Cosby is not honorable and should not be associated with Wesleyan. This is a disgrace! Does he really warrant sympathy? Is Cosby’s wellbeing more important than the wellbeing of all his victims? There’s things you do in life to make society a better place. Wesleyan needs to take a strong stance….No tolerance to sexual assault!

Hate group! Really!! Although not in any group, I feel a need to defend. Get out of your dream world and quit being a cheerleader for the rich and famous! It’s so annoying how most liberals pathetically refuse to face reality. Older, greedy women….what a pathetic statement! I’m older, far from greedy and know all about abuse and yeah there’s a circle of evil liberals, just like you , that think I’m greedy and ignorant. Do you always reach out to Pervs and attack victims? Not one drop of sympathy for these REAL victims! America loves dysfunctional celebrities because America has become dysfunctional. I suppose you must have a big issue with Trump’s statement about Mexico. Guess what, that’s REAL too….America has become the dumping grounds for a lot of foreign crap! Yeah and “some of them are good people too!” Do you have an elaborate liberal excuse for this one too?

The problem I have is that an accusation is not proof. No matter if there’re ten, or fifty, no number of accusations any themselves constitute proof. Each case stands on its on. For a case to stand it must be tested by cross examination. Not one of these cases has been so tested. I would challenge anyone to look at any particular case and go through it as a player would and ask basic questions. Does the witness testify consistently. Many of them are completely inconsistent. Another question to ask how many witnesses have corroborated their testimony. Most of these women rendezvoused with Cosby in hotels or in other places where there would have been staff, bellman, cab drivers and others who could corroborate their story. Have any of them done so? This case is not driven by prove but by gossip repeated over and over again so often it has been accepted as true. Finally I think there is a trend in the media to presume people guilty and then determine the facts afterward. That is what has been driving this from the beginning.
