On Jan. 7, Director of Financial Aid Jennifer Lawton stepped down from her position to accept the position of Director of Financial Aid at Hampshire College, closer to her home in Northampton, Massachusetts. Sean Martin has been named Acting Director in the interim period.

“Sean will manage the day-to-day operations and supervise the office while working closely with the staff in Student Accounts to continue to provide coordinated financial services to students,” Dean of Admission and Financial Aid Nancy Meislahn wrote in an e-mail to staff.

Martin started working in the Financial Aid Office in 2004 and assumed the position of Associate Director in July. According to Meislahn, a national search for a new director is underway.
