I am so tired of all the damn watermellons having exclusive use of the microphone for fund raising!

There is so much REAL science to be done that does not include poorly constructed computer models being used for rent seeking. We really don't have a firm grip on the Earth's total climate. What a wonderful thing if they actually worked on that. Better predictions of extreme weather events would yield better strategies for handling them. duh!

I am ashamed for the science community joining the circus instead of seeking real knowledge, said circus run by P.T. Barnum's offspring - The Goracle. The upshot of this is that once this scam is fully debunked, non-science folks will become derisive of science and funds could dry up like a spilled canteen in the Sahara. Idiots with short sightedness could screw us all in the end (pun intended).

I am insulted! I was an environmentalist and animal rights activist, and it is disgraceful to insinuate that humanitarians and naturalists like myself could have a hidden agenda. What is so hard about believing that politicians are selflessly interested in your well being and that of the entire planet.

I mean sure, it would be easy to set up an "official office" and call it say, The Environmental Protection Agency. And it would be easy to claim that the many ways that people enjoy their freedom and liberty have some "negative environmental impact" and that some "pay to play" system favoring rich elites should be imposed. And it would be easy to have that "EPA" issue decrees supporting this position so that people who don't know any better don't have to think about it themselves. Just trust us instead. And this would be a very effective way to control a lot of things, and set a precedant that makes expanding this control down the road even easier. But who would believe that someone like me would do such a thing? Haven't you seen the videos with me in front of the massive cheering crowds? Do you think I would really sell out a nation of devoted believers?

Now if George Bush did something like this, you might take this view of the facts, and see the a conspiracy whether or not their was one. But from a self-professed "good steward of the earth" like me or Obama or Al Gore, the suggestion that this is a power grab is absurd. What's next? Are you going to suggest that nationalizing the banks and auto companies is a power grab too?

I'm thoroughly insulted...
