So often the misnomer "domestic violence" lulls people into complacency; it's often not a very "domestic" crime. In 2006 my teenage daughter was murdered by her ex-boyfriend. I now run a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of Teen Dating Violence, a problem afflicting nearly half of all students by the time they've graduated from college. My thoughts and condolences to the friends and family of Johanna. I'm terribly sorry for your loss.
